I am beyond impressed with this entire office. I cannot thank them enough for their patience and understanding with my.pitbull puppy. She had a hard start and can be scared of everything and very vocal. They let her come to them. The vet was even patient. I will be bringing both our other dogs here moving forward.

I brought my dog here tonight to get stitches after calling three other vets- including the emergency vet and having no luck. They took my dog right away and were extremely kind and understanding. They were also upfront with exactly how much it would cost, which I appreciated and stayed open late to make sure my dog was okay. Thank you!

The staff is great. Doctor is very kind seems to love her work. Prices good. I will be back

If I had the option to rate Gateway Animal Hospital higher than 10 I would! I can’t even express in words the gratitude & appreciation I have for every single one of you on staff for the support and care you have given to me and my fur babies these past several months. I recently loss my 12 y/o GSD, Schatzi, and am currently dealing with my other fur baby, Bella’s, right side heart failure. You guys just know when I need a hug! By far the best place to go when you need the best care possible. But at the same time knowing they will give you their honest professional opinion on whether or not to continue care. Thank you for treating my babies as one of your own!!! They are worth every tear, dollar & joy to me.

I cannot thank Dr. Burgard for taking care of mt Princess Ann He also told me about the green bean diet in her dry dog food which I had started since the family and friends left to go back to Pa. He was happy I knew and had started it on her.. Dr. Burgard makes me feel like I am doing a good job on her since she will be 12 yr in Aug. Very impressive on the nurses who did her heartworm and stool sample also the young ladies at reception area were nice and polite KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

I have been bringing my pets to Gateway for medical as well as boarding since I moved here in 1984. Always outstanding service. You can feel the care and compassion as soon as you walk in the door. My greyhound was totally relaxed with his visit, as usual. Dr. McLemore is a St. Pete icon in my opinion!

I was very happy with Princess Ann exam Dr. Burguard explained why she has hay fever, I was always told it was allergies and he gave me booklets on meds that she can take in the early fall. Princess never knew he gave her shots. He reminds me so much of Dr Jeff on Animal Planet and of the head vet on Wild Life Docs from Bush Gardens Thank you Dr. Burguard I hope I can see you on her visits. The office staff has done a complete turn around, more friendlier, a drop of honey is better than a teaspoon of vinegar that makes soar grapes Thank you again for caring

My dog had an accident and hurt her leg, I called gateway animal hosp.and they got her in very quickly and checked her out , thank god it wasn’t anything major. the staff and Dr. were friendly and very concerned with the health of my dog. i have been a loyal customer of gateway and i will continue to be one, in my opinion they are a good place to take your loved ones (yes they are like family)and the people at gateway treat them like a part of your family

This office is so caring and professional. I have two dogs and both on separate occasions had some concerns occur they got us in without an appointment, took the time to explain everything thoroughly and my pets were back to happy tail wagging dogs quickly. I can not recommend this vet enough. If you want someone who understands your pets are your children and take the time to care for the animal and the owner this is the place.

I have been taking my dogs to Dr. McLemore since he opened his door on 4th St. He saved the first dog I took to him after a bad bout with pneumonia. All of my dogs over the years have had, I believe, premium veterinary care. The staff is courteous and friendly. I love that some of them have been there as long as I have been going there. I would hate to think I would have to take my dog anywhere else. Thank you Dr. McLemore and staff. (Especially Janet and Michelle.)
