Associate Veterinarian
Dr. McLemore is a 2018 graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. He graduated in the top 15% of his class. He was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida and has been invested in the pets and people of Gateway Animal Hospital since his college days. Prior to attending veterinary school, he attended the University of North Florida and the University of South Florida for a Bachelor’s in Biology. His concentration was in integrative animal biology. He is an active member in the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA), the Pinellas County Veterinary Medical Society (PCVMS), and the Fear Free program. As he continues in his career, he would like to incorporate Fear Free practices as standard operating procedure at Gateway Animal Hospital. Dr. McLemore has special interests in radiology, ultrasonography and soft tissue surgery.
Outside of work, he enjoys traveling the world, writing short stories or poetry, and snuggling up with his pets and a good novel. His son, James, was born in 2019 and his son, Ian, was born in 2023.
