Associate Veterinarian
Dr. McLemore is a 2018 graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated in the top 15% of her class. She was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida and has been invested in the pets and people of Gateway Animal Hospital since her college days. Prior to attending veterinary school, she attended the University of North Florida and the University of South Florida for a Bachelor’s in Biology. Her concentration was in integrative animal biology. She is an active member in the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA), the Pinellas County Veterinary Medical Society (PCVMS), and the Fear Free program. As she continues in her career, she would like to incorporate Fear Free practices as standard operating procedure at Gateway Animal Hospital. Dr. McLemore has special interests in radiology, ultrasonography and soft tissue surgery.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling the world, writing short stories or poetry, and snuggling up with her pets and a good novel. She has been married to her husband William since 2014. Her son, James, was born in 2019. At home, she has a Weimaraner named Toby, a cat named Aurora and a Shih-Tzu named Maddie.
